Article 6, Volume 1

The Virtual Retro Identification Committee (VRIC) selected 10 girls  for the honor of Ten Most Attractive Girls on Campus.

The selection is for the 1957-58 school year.  The selections are the results as of May 31, 1958.  Two of the names were announced on September 26, 2011.

The two names released are:
               Ameta Barnes    (Senior, Saratoga )
               Rosebud Rogers (Sophomore, Hollywood)

Both of  these girls were not only attractive but they represented the school in a positive manner .

Ameta expressed her interest in a career that would enable her to help somebody. Ameta participated in several activities. Ameta was a popular cheerleader and served as captain of the squad. also, she was heavily involved in student government.  Her interest in civics and the welfare of adults and children became part of her DNA. Today she is active in community affairs. She graduated from St Paul College (now University) in Lawrenceville, VA.

Rosebud was a choir member, cheerleader and member of the dramatic club. Her ambition was to become an actress.  Her nickname was "Blondie." Looking back, she was very mature for her age. Perhaps, to one, if not many, she was like a woman in a girls body. However, She was a normal 10th grade student, who acted her age and participated in several school projects.

The four names revealed so far are: (1) Susan (Chuckatuck); (2) Delores (Norfolk Road), (3) Ameta and (4) Rosebud.

The ranking order will be announced after all the names are revealed.
